41 student projects qualified for the second phase of the 15th edition of the “Health Ambassadors” competition

  • The Ministry of Environment and Water is a traditional partner for the national student competition.

 

Forty-one projects of students from 1st to 12th grades country-wide qualified for the second phase of the 15th edition of the National Student Competition "Health Ambassadors". The competition is organized within the framework of the National Programme for Prevention of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases 2021-2025 on initiative by the Ministry of Health.

In addition to the Ministry of Environment and Water, the other partners of the contest include the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the State Agency for Child Protection, the Regional Office of the World Health Organization in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross, and the National Centre for Public Health and Analyses.

The projects implemented interactive activities to reduce health risk factors, which included: sports events - competitions and tournaments; hiking and eco hikes; role-playing games; debates and discussions; cooperation and teamwork; developed websites and e-books on healthy lifestyle and nutrition; cleaning polluted areas in different locations in the country, etc.

According to the rules of the contest, out of these 41 projects, 8 projects qualified in the 1st to 4th grade category; 5th to 7th grade - 16 projects, and 8th to 12th grade - 17 projects. The projects that qualified are attached in tables below by age group.

Each partner ranked in each age group three prize winners - 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

The Ministry of Health and the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross also awarded one special prize each. Qualified participants will receive diplomas and prizes, which will be sent to the principals of their schools.
