“I in nature and the care for nature in me”

Dear compatriots,

On June 5th, we mark the World Environment Day, dedicated to the efforts to preserve nature. Protecting the planet, as our common home, is a common cause for all humanity. I am convinced that in the name of this great goal, we must unite and put aside all differences. Our message today is to accept as a common mission – “I in nature and the care for nature in me”!

Over the years, World Environment Day has become one of the largest campaigns dedicated to environmental conservation at the supranational level. Today's motto is “Ecosystem Restoration” and marks the beginning of the United Nations Decade. Governments, businesses, organizations, and citizens around the world are called on to join forces in a global movement to halt the destruction of ecosystems and ensure a sustainable future for all of us.

As minister, I will continue to serve the cause of protecting the environment and water. My creed is that nature is not a commodity, but a heritage that must be preserved and protected!
