The Secretary General of the Climate Parliament visited the Bulgarian pavilion at COP28

The Minister of Environment and Water Julian Popov welcomed Nick Dunlop, Secretary General of the Climate Parliament - an organization that gathers parliamentarians from all over the world, committed to climate policies.

During the meeting, Minister Popov presented the programme of events at Bulgaria's first pavilion at COP28, which demonstrates the country's strong commitment to implement measures against climate change and underlines the ambitions to achieve climate targets in all key economic sectors.

The Ministry of Environment and Water is hosting a total of 15 events at the pavilion, showcasing green innovations, decarbonization achievements, and good practices from Bulgarian companies from several sectors, as well as financial institutions, municipalities, NGOs, and scientific initiatives.

The Climate Parliament is an international, multi-partisan network of legislators with over 2 000 participants from 120 countries who develop climate change policies around the world.

Minister Popov expressed hope that one of their events will be organized in Bulgaria next year.
