The fire that broke out at the site of the company "Heat Energy", located in the immediate vicinity of "Bobov Dol Thermal Power Plant" AD, has been localized, but has not yet been completely extinguished.

Teams of the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" continue active work to control the fire, inspecting the burned-out wagons in order to prevent the risk of re-ignition.

In the nearby settlement - the village of Golemo Selo - a mobile automatic station (MAS) of the Executive Environment Agency (EEA) continues to operate, which monitors atmospheric air quality in real time. The station is located in the area of the previous fire and will remain in place until the final completion of actions to contain the current incident.

At present, no exceedances of the norms for indicators characterizing air quality have been registered.

The Regional Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and Water - Sofia and the competent institutions continue to monitor the situation and will inform the public in a timely manner if there is any change.
