Deputy Prime Minister for Climate Policy and Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov took over the office from caretaker Minister Asen Lichev.

 “I wish that in the next 4 years what we started will be continued and the work for the cause of protecting the nature of Bulgaria will be carried on,” said Asen Lichev, handing the symbolic key of the Ministry of Environment and Water to Minister Sandov.

 “The topic of environmental protection is already a priority for the government, so I am committed to see this reflected in the work of the ministry,” said Minister Sandov. In turn, he thanked the caretaker minister for “what has been accomplished in recent months within the ministry.”
