After analyzing the measurement results obtained for the period 26-29 December, no exceedances of the threshold values of ammonia (NH3) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) were registered as per the data from the mobile automatic station for measuring the quality of atmospheric air near Kalotina. According to the analysis, no violations of the norm values of the main indicators for atmospheric air quality, i.e. ozone, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide.

By order of the Minister of Environment and Water Rositsa Karamfilova a mobile team of the Environmental Executive Agency monitors air quality on site. The mobile station was positioned in close proximity to the border crossing point near Kalotina after a freight train carrying ammonia derailed in the Eastern Serbia region.
