Joint inspections on the Northern Black Sea coast start today

By order of the Minister of Environment and Water Manol Genov, representatives of the Black Sea Basin Directorate and the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water (RIEW) - Varna are participating in joint inspections, which start today, together with employees of the Ministry of Environment and Water, the General Directorate of National Police, the Economic Police Department, Environmental and Wildlife Crimes Sector, the Regional Administration – Dobrich, and Shabla Municipality.

The inspections are part of coordinated actions to prevent and counteract crimes and other illegal acts leading to environmental damage along the Northern Black Sea coast. The control activities mainly cover inspections of coastal beach strips and the establishment of violations of the current environmental legislation - illegal passage, stay, and parking of vehicles on the beaches of Durankulak, Krapets, and Ezerets.

The inspections will continue tomorrow, August 7, and if necessary, other competent institutions and experts will be involved. The Ministry of Environment and Water will provide timely information on the findings and results of the conducted inspections.
