The Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov and the leadership of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (BIA), as well as branch organization members of the chamber, discussed the challenges of the transition to a circular economy.

The aim of the meeting was for the MOEW team to get acquainted with the initiative KRIC “Circular Economy”, implemented jointly by BIA and interested sectoral organizations, as well as the initiative “Plastic Pact Bulgaria”, which will be officially launched in the spring of this year.

Minister Sandov highlighted the importance of the transition to a circular economy and the improvement of resource efficiency, calling on business representatives to plan goals for the transition to a biological economy, which is expected to be a reality in the not so distant future.
