Deputy Prime Minister for Climate Policy and Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov met with H.E. Mrs. Baya Bensmail, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Bulgaria. The two discussed opportunities for cooperation in environmental protection and water management.

Minister Sandov expressed readiness for an agreement on cooperation in the water sector and presented the Bulgarian climate policy priorities. He emphasized the need for greater involvement by every member of society, as climate change affects both the environment and various sectors of the economy, the social sphere, and human health.
