The Deputy Prime Minister for Climate Policy and Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov met with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Sofia H.E. Mr. Christoph Eichhorn.

The conversation focused on the opportunities for implementation of joint environmental projects.

The implementation of the European Green Pact and the environmental transition plan were also discussed - the so-called the “Fit for 55” Package, which aims to bring the current climate, energy, and transport regulations in line with the targets for 2030 and 2050.

Minister Sandov informed Ambassador Eichhorn about the planned projects by the Ministry of Environment and Water within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The two expressed readiness for fruitful future cooperation.
