Minister Borislav Sandov met with the Ambassador of India

The Deputy Prime Minister for Climate Policy and Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov met with Indian Ambassador H.E. Mr. Sanjay Rana. During the conversation, the two paid special attention to the traditionally friendly and stable relations between the two countries, as well as to opportunities for deepening them.

Minister Borislav Sandov presented the priorities of the Ministry of Environment and Water and noted that environmental protection is one of the pillars of sustainable development and a key factor in promoting socio-economic development by ensuring green economic growth and quality of life.

Ambassador Rana discussed climate change and outlined the country’s commitments to carbon neutrality.

The two countries exchanged views on the use of renewable energy sources and new technologies contributing to the green transition.

Minister Borislav Sandov presented the ambassador with a replica of an artefact from the Panagyurishte treasure and received in return a book of photographs entitled “India in words and images”.
