The Minister of Environment and Water Manol Genov met with the Ambassador of Romania to Bulgaria Her Excellency Brundusa Predescu.

Bulgaria attaches great importance to the excellent bilateral cooperation with Romania in the field of environment and water, which is of utmost importance for the sustainable development and well-being of the entire region, said Minister Manol Genov. Ambassador Predescu also expressed satisfaction with the positive effect of the implementation of joint projects by the two countries.

Both expressed their readiness to continue the dialogue and cooperation regarding joint projects financed by European funds, such as the strategic project "Risk Prevention on the Danube River", as well as the projects under the competitive component of the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Program. Minister Genov and Ambassador Predescu also discussed the work of enterprises with Romanian investments operating on the territory of Bulgaria.
