The Ministry of Environment and Water held a meeting with representatives of the environmental Association “For the Earth” on issues addressed to the Minister of Environment and Water Asen Lichev at the end of May. The topics included GMO regulations in the EU, waste management, the use of RDF modified waste fuels, and air quality.

The meeting yesterday  was attended by Deputy Ministers Emilia Toncheva, Reneta Koleva, and Petar Dimitrov, the Adviser to the Minister for issues pertinent the Executive Environment Agency Vanya Grigorova, as well as directors and experts in topic-relevant directorates at the MOEW. The issues raised were discussed in a working format and the specialists from the directorates expressed their readiness for dialogue at the level of experts.
