The Minister of Environment and Water Asen Lichev decided to hold meetings every Friday from 14:00 with representatives of non-governmental organizations, whose activities are relevant to environmental protection and ecology.

In front of his deputies, the Minister said: “I want to establish an open dialogue with all who work in the field of ecology. The cause of clean nature and environmental protection is common. We are opening the doors of the Ministry to all like-minded sides.”

Meanwhile, Minister Lichev visited the Executive Environment Agency (EEA) and met with its Executive Director. It was decided that the Agency is to report directly to the Minister. The Agency drafts and manages the National Environmental Monitoring System and the information on the condition of environmental components and factors on the territory of the entire country. According to the Minister, the data from the system are of interest for society at large. “We are obliged to ensure easy access to information for every Bulgarian citizen,” the Minister said in conviction.
