Regarding publications in the media, based on Eurostat data showing that air in Bulgaria is the most polluted in Europe according to PM2.5 content, we note that the values are from 2019, during the term in office of the previous government.

Although the average annual concentration of PM2.5 in EU urban areas in 2019 gradually decreases to 12.6 μg/m3, most polluted is the air in our country (19.6 μg/m3) and Poland (19.3 μg/m3), followed by Romania (16.4 μg/m3) and Croatia (16.0 μg/m3).
