RIEW - Ruse yesterday imposed a compulsory administrative measure on Orgachim Resins AD for violation of their complex permit. The measure was applied by sealing a bypass sewerage outlet in a newly built inspection shaft, right before the entrance to the wastewater treatment plant.

The compulsory administrative measure is of ongoing duration and can only be removed by the control authority in the event of an emergency.

The measure came after an inspection, jointly with Water and Sewerage Company of Ruse, of the site sewerage with colored paints during a scheduled inspection of the operator in October. At the time, the inspectors found unauthorised use of the bypass, resulting in a large part of the wastewater being discharged into the city sewerage network without the necessary treatment.

This is a violation of a condition in the complex permit of the company "Orgachim Resins". A report under the Environmental Protection Act was drawn up and a penalty notice of BGN 30 000 was issued.

The company has already complied with the prescriptions given by RIEW - Ruse during a previous inspection for the complete cleaning of the chemical products found in the collection pump shaft to the treatment plant. It receives all waste water flows from the common on-site sewage system of Orgachim Rezinse AD and Orgachim AD.
