“In these intense three months, we have accomplished a great deal and are leaving behind good results,” said Popov, expressing confidence that upholding the Ministry’s policies and priorities will remain central to Minister Karamfilova’s work as well. He thanked his team and everyone working within the system of the Ministry of Environment and Water.
“I feel at home here. What better proof of the continuity that is the foundation of success,” stated Minister Rositsa Karamfilova, recalling that years ago, the two had switched roles. “There is no greater strength than having people who know the heart of a policy and are committed to its implementation,” she added, expressing her conviction that she would continue to build on the achievements of the recent months.
Minister Karamfilova added that the environment and water sectors face difficult and complex challenges: “This cabinet takes office with enormous expectations by the people and a clear awareness of the responsibility that comes with the strong election results. It is time for the reforms we have long been talking about. It takes will and courage to undertake them. There is no greater power than the voice of knowledgeable and capable people.”
