The measured value of ammonium nitrogen in the second consecutive sampling after the cargo transfer activities from the run-aground ship were terminated, taken on 29th September 2021 at the same site in the vicinity of the ship, shows that concentrations are reducing and approach the value, measured on Monday, September 27th, 2021, before the start of the failed transfer operation.

The MOEW continues to monitor the condition of Black Sea waters on a daily basis. At the moment, the teams are on-site for the next sample extraction near the run-aground ship.

From Monday, October 4th, 2021, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Petar Dimitrov will be commissioned on-site in order to ensure control and fulfillment of subsequent rescue operations.
