The caretaker Minister of Environment and Water Asen Lichev took office over from the recent Minister Emil Dimitrov.

The two visited the National Coordination Center at the Ministry of Environment and Water, whereby Dimitrov presented the work in the “Air”, “Water”, and “Waste” sectors. Minister Lichev examined the center and commented it was well set up.

Minister Asen Lichev inquired about the progress with the implementation of the prevention pilot projects and the flood risk management plans - among the priority topics of the Ministry related with the electronic water management system.

“This Ministry avails over a high level of expertise, on which, as a caretaker minister, I will rely. I will do my best that work is carried out at a fast pace, but also efficiently and transparently,” said Minister Lichev.
