In the late afternoon of August 28, a report was registered for a forest fire under the "Belite Kamani" area, to the left of the Rakochevitsa River, at an altitude of over 1700 m. The fire is located on the territory of the Rila National Park, in the park area of Blagoevgrad.

The flames have engulfed a coniferous pine forest with an area of between 60 and 70 acres. The causes of the fire are still being clarified.

30 people are working on the ground - park employees, firefighters from Blagoevgrad and foresters from Simitli. Their efforts are aimed at localizing the fire and preventing its spread to larger forest areas.
