The management body of the Program “Environment” 2021 - 2027 under the Ministry of Environment and Water launched a selection procedure for nonprofit legal entities to apply for membership in the Monitoring Committee of the new “Environment” Program 2021-2027.

The monitoring committee of the program monitors program implementation for efficiency and quality by examining and approving the criteria for selecting projects to fund. It also monitors progress towards milestones and targets. It examines and approves proposals for amendments to the program and the final report on the quality of its implementation.

The invitation is addressed to the following groups of legal nonprofit entities working for public benefit:

Organizations specializing in the sectors water, circular economy, biodiversity, climate change and natural disaster risks, and clean air. Organization whose activity is in the field of protection of fundamental rights, gender equality, nondiscrimination and equal opportunities can also eligible to apply, as well as those in the field of social inclusion, the integration of marginalized groups, education, science and culture.

The invitation is related to the decree by the Council of Ministers of 29.09.2022 on the creation of monitoring committees for the Partnership Agreement of Bulgaria and the programs cofinanced by the European Funds under Shared Management (EFSU) for the program period 2021-2027.

Within 15 working days from the date of publication of the invitation, any interested legal nonprofit entity working for the public benefit from the above-mentioned groups may submit a written application for membership.
