The Management Plans for reserves the “Bistrishko Branishte” and “Torfeno Branishte” were adopted

The Minister of Environment and Water Asen Lichev signed orders for approval of the management plans for the reserves “Bistrishko Branishte” and “Torfeno Branishte”.

The two documents have been drafted within the project “Activities for sustainable management of reserves and maintained reserves - exclusive state ownership, within the territorial scope of RIEW-Sofia”, which is funded by Operational Program “Environment 2007-2013”.

The “Bistrishko Branishte” reserve with an area of 1061.6 hectares and the “Torfeno Branishte” reserve with an area of 785.44 hectares fall within the territory of the Vitosha Nature Park.

Publication in the State Gazette is forthcoming. Thereafter the management plans will be published on the website of the Ministry of Environment and Water in the section of Sector Nature.
