The European Commission has no comments on any of the three projects developed by the MOEW for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The projects are in the field of biodiversity conservation, environmental protection, and conservation of water resources by increasing the efficiency in the management of irreplaceable natural resources and can be found at: https://www.nextgeneration.bg/14 under the following headings:

“Integrating the ecosystem approach and implementing nature-based solutions in the conservation of ‘Natura 2000’ protected areas”;

“Rehabilitation of key ecosystems in implementation of the EU Biodiversity Strategy and the objectives of the European Green Deal”, in partnership with the Executive Forest Agency;

“Digitization for integrated water management, control, and efficiency”.

The project proposals aim to fulfill key obligations that Bulgaria has within the European Union.
