Prime Minister Galab Donev and the Minister of Environment and Water Rositsa Karamfilova viewed a photo exhibition of the natural treasures in National Park Rila. In the building of the Council of Ministers, 30 photographs by the winners in the photo contest “30 Years of National Park Rila – ‘A Challenge for future generations’” were exhibited.

The organizer of the competition, held last year, is the Directorate of National Park (DNP) “Rila”. The traveling exhibition already visited Blagoevgrad, the Municipal Theater - Kyustendil, the Visitor Information Center of the DNP “Rila” in Samokov, as well as an international conference in Sofia.

The photos are divided into six categories – “The Water of Rila - Lakes, Rivers, Waterfalls”; “Shelter in the Mountains - Huts and Lodges”; “The forests of Rila - Colorful, White and Green”; “The Wild World of Rila - Flora and Fauna”; “The People and the Mountain – Recharge”; “Stars above Rila - the Freedom to Dream”.

The photos show the beautiful natural features of the Rila Mountain as seen by the participants, who tell personal stories and share their emotions through the lens. The exhibition provides an opportunity to promote the protected area, as well as draw attention and attract more like-minded people to its conservation mission.
