The Black Sea Basin Directorate analyzed the test results from the two water samples taken on 25th September 2021. We remind you that during the inspection two Black Sea water samples were taken: the first was sampled in the immediate proximity of the ship in the direction of the open sea, and the second - in front of the bow of the ship, where the alleged cargo leakage occured.

The sample test results for nitrite nitrogen show that at 15:00h on September 25th indications of sea water pollution by the ship’s cargo were present.

Currently, a team of experts from the Black Sea Basin Directorate and the Regional Laboratory-Varna are on the site for re-inspection and more sampling.
