To respond to the big interest for the competition for students with high academic achievements “Green support for a sustainable future”, the application deadline has been extended to November 18, 2022.

The competition is organized by the Environmental Executive Agency under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment and Water as part of the initiatives to mark the European Commission’s European Mobility Week campaign.

“Better Connections” is this year’s topic for essay submissions. The European Mobility Week also took place under the same motto. According to the rules, applicants are to submit an essay or short paper of 3 to 5 pages. The competition encourages students to present an original, coherent and science-based approach to addressing challenges in the urban environment and mobility in their submissions.

The deadline for assessing the received submissions has been extended to November 25, 2022.

Interviews with the contestants ranked in the first five places will be held between November 29 and December 5, 2022.

The winner in the second edition of the competition “Green support for a sustainable future” will be announced on December 9, 2022. The prize for the winner is an annual financial support in the amount of 2,970 BGN provided by the Enterprise for the Management of Environmental Protection Activities.
