The Ministry of Environment and Water received two awards in the "Best Administration 2024" competition, organized by the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). The awards for the Ministry of Environment and Water are in the categories "Administration Efficiency " and "Ethical Behavior, Openness, and Transparency" and were presented at a ceremony on Tuesday evening.

"The award for us constitutes an assessment of the work and efforts by all experts and structures in the ministry's system. We work with the environment and society in mind, so that we can live in a cleaner country. You give us an incentive to work for even higher results," said Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Reneta Koleva. She received the prize for effective work of the administration of the Ministry of Environment and Water. The Secretary General of the Ministry Klimentina Deneva, who accepted the award for ethics and openness of the administration in the institution, assured that the team will do their best to keep the ministry in this ranking.

The competition is held among over 74 administrative bodies that participated. The organizers conducted a survey in which 19 ministries, all nine state agencies, the 28 regional, and 18 municipal administrations were invited, identified as the best through the use of artificial intelligence.
