Minister Lichev announced two new protected areas

The Minister of Environment and Water Asen Lichev signed orders for declaring two new protected areas - the natural landmark “Sharp Stone” and the protected area “The Forest of Boryana”.

The natural landmark “Sharp Stone” is located in the village of Sharp Stone, Municipality of Harmanli, region of Haskovo, and covers an area of 90,325 decares. The subject of protection are characteristic and remarkable rock formations.

“The Boryana Forest” protected area is located on land pertaining to the village of Enina, Municipality of Kazanlak, District of Stara Zagora, and unfolds over a total area of ​​348,417 decares. The subject of protection are a riparian forest and local species valuable for the Bulgarian flora and fauna along the Eninska River.
