MOEW proposes the government to revoke a regulation that is in contradiction with the Water Act

The MOEW will propose to the Council of Ministers changes to the Ordinance on the use of surface waters, which are to attain its compliance with the Water Act.

The proposed amendment revokes a regulation currently in force, which contradicts the provisions of the Water Act in the part for required documents for the extension of a permit for water abstraction for hydropower plants (HPPs). The new texts do not contain the requirement to provide a proof of an established right to build, when extending an already existing permit for a HPP.
