The Ministry of Environment and Water (MOEW) starts active cooperation with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the field of environmental protection. This became clear at the first meeting during the NGO open day at the MOEW, whereby the entire political cabinet participated.

“The doors of the Ministry are open for you already,” said the Minister of Environment and Water Asen Lichev, adding that he expects concrete proposals on environmental issues.

“We want to involve the representatives of the non-governmental sector as our partners on issues that cannot be postponed,” said Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Emilia Toncheva. Representatives of the non-governmental sector raised specific issues to be resolved.

Please be reminded that by decision of Minister Asen Lichev the Ministry of Environment and Water started an open day for NGOs in the field of environmental protection, every Friday from 14:00h.
