New! Today, August 10, 2026, the Ministry of Environment and Water of the Republic of Bulgaria is making available a letter, Ref. No. 99-00-185-1-19/August 10, 2026 from the Minister of Environment and Water of the Republic of Bulgaria, notifying the Finnish Environment Institute that Bulgaria does not intend to participate in the transboundary Strategic Environmental Assessment procedure regarding the provisions issued under the Finnish Nuclear Energy Act

Today, June 5, 2026, the Ministry of Environment and Water of the Republic of Bulgaria is making available a consultation letter, ref. No. 99-00-185-1/May 26, 2026, from the Finnish Environment Institute, in accordance with Article 10 of the Protocol on Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA Protocol) to the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (Espoo Convention) regarding the provisions issued under the Finnish Nuclear Energy Act.

Comments may be submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Water (22 Knyaginya Maria Luisa Blvd., Sofia, 1000) or by email to edno_gishe@moew.government.bg.

The deadline for submitting comments on the plan to the Ministry of Environment and Water is July 5, 2026.
