Today, 16.01.2025, on the website of the Ministry of Environment and Water in the section Preventive Action/EIA/Transboundary EIA Procedures/Transboundary EIA Procedures in which Bulgaria is a country of origin, the MoEW provides public access to the letters No EIA-19/16.01.2025 and notification pursuant to Art. 3 of the Espoo Convention, by which the Minister of Environment and Water of the Republic of Bulgaria notified Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Austria, Romania about an investment proposal "Construction of Unit 8 of Kozloduy NPP", pursuant to Article 3 of the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in a transboundary context, with the contracting party “Kozloduy NPP – New Builds” PLC Republic of Bulgaria.
