Strategic Environmental Assessment (CEO) of Energy and Climate of the Republic of North Macedonia 2025-2030

Today, January 8, 2026 pursuant to Article 35, paragraph 1, letter "b" of the Ordinance on the conditions and procedure for performing environmental assessment of plans and programs and in compliance with the provisions of the Protocol on Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) to the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context, the Ministry of Environment and Water (MEW) provides public access to letter ref. No. 15-4713/1/01.12.2025, with attached strategic environmental assessment report (non-technical summary), draft SEA and notification of the "Energy and Climate Plan of the Republic of North Macedonia for the period 2025-2030."

Comments may be submitted to the address of the Ministry of Environment and Water (22 Knyaginya Maria Luiza Blvd., Sofia, 1000) or by email to edno_gishe@moew.government.bg.

The deadline for submitting comments on the plan to the Ministry of Environment and Water is February 8, 2026.
