Ammendments of Annex XVII of REACH

The restriction procedure of REACH regulates the manufacture, placing on the market and use of substances that pose an unacceptable risk to human health and/or the environment. Restrictions can range from a total ban to a ban on making available to the general public and apply to any substance, including those for which no registration is required. This part of REACH is "inherited" from the provisions of Directive 76/769/EEC on restrictions on the placing on the market and use of certain hazardous chemicals.
